"The plan would generate replacement savings by requiring a 10 percent reduction in the government's workforce through attrition — replacing one out of every three employees who leave the government" Ask ambassador Christopher Stephens how that works. Oh wait! He's dead. He was killed because the State Department, having had their budget reduced by $2 B, had to pull his security detail. These pimps will do anything to protect their special interests
" 'If you feel comfortable cutting the government this way, then you've lost your way as much as the president. What happened to the party of Ronald Reagan who said the No. 1 goal of the federal government ... is to fund the Department of Defense?" Graham said. "What happened to that party? Well I intend to get that party back.' "Reagan tripled the national debt and sent the economy into 3 recessions in 8 years, the most of any administration since the Great Depression. If you get that party back Sen. Graham, I hope you enjoy it, but keep it for yourself. We cannot afford that party any more.
Reagan tripled the national debt, sent the economy into 3 recessions in 8 years and granted Amnesty to 3Million criminal illegal aliens without enforcement which has led us to our currnet illegal immigration problems. And you want that party back?
In case of international trouble, we should maintain upwards of 50 U.S. military bases placed strategically around the globe. Here in the United States, however, because of the need to train various branches and store equipment and supplies, we probably need upwards of 500 bases. What we have, though, is 700 bases around the world, and 6,000 on U.S. soil. You don't make a fat man hollow by trimming 15 pounds.
Our nation's defense is being cut to the bone to appease the House GOP's demand to cut spending. Thanks, Eric Paulsen & thanks much to Big John Kline for making our country vulnerable to attack, cyber & otherwise.
Budget Amendment, Big John & Little Eric? That was a gimmick whose absurdity was exposed 15 years ago. Can't fool us any more---you two have weakened out national defense. I won't mention Shelly because she's history.
