I would think their would be more important issues to dwell on, than somebody putting on a custume for halloween. Just about any little thing seems to offend somebody now days. Live and let live.

As a Catholic I want all people to stop dressing like nuns, priests and especially pregnant nuns for Halloween. I better not see any company selling these types of costumes or I will sue!! Why is one religion o.k. to make fun of, but another you can't. You can't have it both ways people!!! Stop catering to these groups. The guy was at a PRIVATE party and as an American he has the right to dress as he pleases.

Would there be any outrage if he had dressed up as a Native American, a Jewish Rabbi or as someone who is Amish? I've seen all those costumes.

What did this guy do wrong? Quick! Little boys who dress up like firemen should say they are sorry. We better start apologizing to robots, ghosts, astronauts, clowns, Kim Kardashian, LiLo, etc.

No need to apologize, Officer. Private party, private home.

There are many things cops do that we should be concerned about. This is not one of them.

This gets my Irish dander up! BOO-HOO! Toughen up! Every March 17th it's OK to drink green beer, get drunk and act like an Irishman and it's OK. Wait, isn't that whole day made up of making fun of my ancestors??

He's actually a sensitive new-age guy compared to most St. Paul police officers.

His purpose was to poke fun at them, nothing more, nothing less. If you are offended that the others are offended by it, you need to get over yourself. Saying others are targeted, doesn't make it any different or change the fact that he meant it as an insult, not an endurement.

I am a muslim woman and you know, as you say, private party, personal time. Halloween costumes are intended to stylize a certain look: Police officer, fireman, doctor, nurse, Nun, Priest, Hijabbi, belly dancer, and the list goes on. Personally I find the costume in poor taste because it is focused on a certain type, and we know who that is, but so is the pregnant nun, the "naughty nurse" and the "french maid". Frankly the "offended" do not understand the custom of Halloween Party and yes, do need to relax a little. People that belong to authority groups also need to think that extra minute about appearances too. Give a little, get a little, and everyone relax a little.
