Steinbach and Bruno certainly won't hurt the Twins at all. Nice to see some new blood in the management part of this team.

The Twin's recent history of performance issues have been effective pitching and situational baseball. Gardenhire and Anderson are still in charge of what have been mass failures since Gardenhire was given this job. How in the world could Steinbach and Brunansky fix that?

If there is a turn around, it will be a result of the manager changing his stick-in-the-mud strategy and it will also be fueled by new blood. We needed ALL new people!

Gardenhire was manager of the year 2010. Just want to remind folks. I don't think he forgot how to manage in just two years. Give him some talent and he can coax wins out of them, he's proven that time and again. Even the great Tom Kelly had some down years when the talent just wasn't there.

just 1 name missing...Molitor...how about him for the infield coach? Plus it wouldn't hurt to have a 3000+ hit guy talking and people listening...

Good luck to everyone this season....maybe this is the start....new faces won't hurt anything, and maybe light a new fire underneath some of these young guys......

The Twins need some pitching. The new coaches may help, but ultimately when you have one of the worst team ERAs in the majors, you are not going to win a lot of games. This next year will be tough, but look for 2014 and 2015 for the Twins to move up the ranks.

The writer needs to interview Brunansky, Vavra, Gardenhire and Kelly to discuss if a change in the "Twins Way" will be occuring. There is no point in bringing the Twins minor league phenoms to Target Field if the coaches require they are going to have to wait for the pitch to get deep before they swing with a shorter swing to hit the ball past the opposite field middle infielder. When Ortiz retires, hire Ortiz as hitting coach so the phenoms can not be taught to "hit like a girl". The writer isn't working very hard if this article does not investigate this issue.

Gardenhire's comment about Stenbach calling Joe Mauer into his office says a lot about Gardenhire as a manager and the Twins as a team. No player on the team should be above the coaches coaching them. Get rid of the prima donnas and get some player who really want to play. Mauer irrated me earlier this off season when he came out saying he wanted to catch next season. Isn't it about the Team needs Joe? Not what you want Joe? Oh I forget he's the guy Gardenhire is afraid to call into his office.

Gardenhire's MOY was strictly a MERCY gift. The dude from Texas should have won it. rather than giving Gardy a new contract a couple years ago he should have been fired along with Andy. The best move Pohlad could make is to fire them both now but he's too cheap to do it. BUT both will be gone by the 4th of July. Their replacements are already in place.
