It's pretty thrilling to be sitting on the outside and watching the Tea Party and the Republican party slowely implode in one itself. 30 years from now and I can tell my grandkids about this historical period when we saw the end of fascist America.
The upcoming civil war between the GOP and the TP is going to be fun to watch - in a slow motion train wreck kind of way.
If the MSM hadn't demonized the TeaParty and labeled them far-right we wouldn't be having this conversation. So a couple of people that haven't lived their whole life in politics and been corrupted by power said a few stupid things, I can forgive that. The original Tea Party movement was a result of Washington overspending and driving our nation into debt and moving away from the economic philosophies that have made this country great. This is what the left is afraid of -- taking away their government handouts where power breeds power(think Solinda, think bailing out the Auto Unions). People who care about the future of this country for their kids need to band together regardless of what the main street media is going to label them.
How is Demonizing defined by the Tea Party? What did the MSM say that wasn't said in the GOP primary campaigns and debates.
The original Tea Party movement was an attack on and the destruction of private property in Boston harbor. Some Americans felt the tax on Tea was an un-fair Tax, the tax was to pay for the defense of the American frontier by the British. Most taxes are thought to be unfair when you have to pay them. The tax money seams less unfair when you are about to receive it. In 1965 LA when rioting people burnt Watts down they were having another Tea Party moment, but many Americans didn’t see it that way. If politicians and our government are to be the best government money can buy then support the people spending big the money. If we are to have a government of the people by the people and for the people, we need to do things different than we are. Nationwide 57% of people that could vote didn’t vote. Our founding fathers defined people as male, white, and property owners, in the past we have added many other humans to the list that defines people. Now we have a ruling that adds corporations to the list of people, it would seem that Labor Unions how every do not make the “people list”, the list that People who care about the future of this country for their kids need to band together to define.
"So a couple of people that haven't lived their whole life in politics and been corrupted by power said a few stupid things, I can forgive that." A few stupid comments is one thing but the disrespect the Tea Party Candidates show women, immigrants, and the poor should not be taken lightly.
