Harry Reid has 4 budget plans setting in his desk draw maybe he should pull those out and have a vote, or come up with his own plan.
Great - another short term proposal. They are all too worried about the next election rather than the next generation.
Just kicken the can down the road.
Just kicken the can down the road. If it's put off long enough it becomes someone elses problem in 2016, right?
Another short term fix? What happened to the 4 trillion in cuts that were being talked about last summer? If the campaigning would stop there is plenty of time to get some more meaningful progress. Otherwise, I say let the sequester kick in and it will show in history how inept the president really is!!
Maybe we can use a drone strike on the fiscal cliff.
The Obama administration has had over 4-years to figure out how to handle this crisis. Instead of coming up with a solid plan waits until the very last minute and aks for tens of billions of dollars in short-term spending cuts and tax revenue. This is not the hope, the change or the leadership I voted for!
This is just sad. The deficit commission was a complete and utter failure. The one bit of leverage that was put in place to force the parties to come to some kind of agreement (sequestration) is and has been repeatedly ignored/avoided. There is no reason to believe any kind of resolution or action will emerge in the next year. Possibly longer.
This political barn-storming just gets better and better, doesn't it? It's high time the little lad in that big White House puts a lid on his attempt to chip away at our constitutional rights and spends a little more time and effort with some housekeeping at the office. He promised us spending cuts and a balanced budget his first time around the block. Yeah. "Change" he called it. I don't know about you but after all his, and congress's," shenanigans, that's about all I have left - change, pocket change.

Hopefully, you are not just realizing this now!!
