al-Qaida is a sworn enemy of the United States whose mission is to kill Americans. If a "US citizen" takes up with them, particularly in a senior role, they lose their rights as US citizens and the protections those rights afford them. In WWII, if a US citizen had joined the German army, would they be protected? Sorry, ACLU, you have no case here.
What a relief to discover that in an Obama administration it is perfectly legal to assassinate US citizens without due process, whereas in a Bush administration, making known terrorist leaders extremely uncomfortable for 10 seconds is a moral outrage.
Glad we cleared that one up.
Due process for American citizens? Seems a bit outdated, don't you think? Comforting to know that the president has assumed the roles of judge, jury, and executioner.
What is the rationale for killing Afghani civilians with drone strikes?
One of Obama's biggest cheerleaders, Rachel Maddow, is raising a lot of questions regarding the legality of killing American citizens. You know this is bad when someone that liberal disagrees with Barry. Not only did Obama kill Anwar al-Awlaki with a drone strike, another killed his 16 year old son 2 weeks later. If this was President Bush, the outrage from the lefties would be deafening. The wording in the 16 page memo is vague and have people worried that other Americans could be targeted at the whim of Holder and Obama. And you wonder why we want to protect our 2nd amendment rights?
As long as they don't water-board anyone, or take inappropriate pictures...
Comforting to know that the president has assumed the roles of judge, jury, and executioner.----kettle, meet pot.
Nobel Peace Prize award winner everyone!
I have a question for the Obama supporters. If Russia or China, or even an ally of the U.S. wanted to kill one of their citizens who they now deemed a terrorist, would you feel it was okay to launch a missile strike in Edina, St. Paul, etc. if they were living there? What happened to due process? We should really be asking why Obama feels he has the power to kill U.S. citizens without charging and arresting them. Where's the outrage liberals? You wanted President Bush and V.P. Cheney arrested and tried as war criminals for far less.
So a guy elected by 51% of the population can without any formal public inquiry whatsoever label you a member of Al Quada and have a drone blow you to bits without ever even confronting you and giving you the opportunity to explain your actions. We have a constitutional amendment that prevents citizens from being illegally searched or seized, but murdering you in cold blood is apparently ok? Very scary to say the least and this guy is purportedly a "liberal?"
