Alaska brewery plans to use spent grain to power its own production plant

When we visited the brewery a few years ago the only thing Alaskan about it was the water. They were importing their grain, hops (neither of which grow in Alaska) and yeast. Decent beer, though one could argue it's hardly worth it to pay extra for a bucket of suds from Alaska made from raw materials from the Lower 48...

And those boilers produce some great emissions! NOT! Very hazardous stuff coming out of the stacks. Sure wouldn't want to be downwind.
