I have a 3 year old who thinks she can do anything. She's a 'big girl'. She's already told me she wants to drive the car, and she's very observant and learns by watching me. Can she really drive the car? No, and it sounds like this 6 year old couldn't really drive the car either, but I know from experience why she thinks she could and how she knew what to do. My girl often wakes up before I do, but always comes in and wakes me up. Based on the story, the mom didn't do anything wrong. I can't see why they would press any charges.
