The reason the homeless in Anoka County is not getting the attention is because the area is predominantly known as a conservative voting circuit. One shelter for the whole county? How many does Hennepin County have? For that matter, how many different Social Service programs, counselors, and Human Resource Outreach even in the schools does Hennepin County provide which Anoka is not privy to by our government? Dayton needs to concern himself with less trivial things such as currying unpopular tax increases and gun control, and start helping the people who make up the living in Minnesota, else more will leave for better states, leaving this one more bankrupt than it already is.
