Matt Birk won a Super Bowl on Sunday, at a point in his life when he appreciates the rarity of achievement.

He was well-regarded during his time with the Vikings. Happy he finally got a ring, too bad it wasn't with the Vikings. I saw Birk, McKinnie and other former Vikings on those teams. We seem to be good at building Super Bowl-caliber players and coaches, just not a Super Bowl-caliber team.

Only downside for Birk getting a ring is that McKinnie got one too

Did you see that pass the CP threw for an interception? It was intended for Randy Moss and he was gutless to jump up and try and catch that ball or are at least knock it down. I hope Jim Harbaugh cuts him after that display of courage or there lack of.

Kids asked who I wanted to win the super bowl. I normally pick the NFC team. This year I said I wanted Matt to win. I am glad he did.

He left MN but still owns $2m house in mendota. My brother lives across the street. It's ok that a well paid athlete can own multiple houses. Maybe he uses it for storage?

For Matt - I am so happy - he is such a classy guy - one that I wished could have finished his career here but really didn't have a choice. So Matt congratulations it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
