This is absolutely unacceptable and a complete embarrassment for the NFL. It is safe to say this will be the last super bowl hosted by New Orleans! Somebody needs to get fired over this.

That blackout was just another day in New Orleans, folks. It is otherwise such a perfect place to hold an event like the Super Bowl so it won't be the last time NOLA hosts the big game but its going to be awhile before they do again. Next year, New York City gets their turn...finally.

gdkxzy, I didn't know the NFL controls the power to the stadiums. How is this their fault?

Saint Paul Winter Carnival leads right up to it...most people have experienced sun and warm weather, why not experience something new for folks from warm weather climes?

Who really cares? Even the most die-hard fans will have forgotten who won the all-important, world-encompassing, life-altering...game of football within a year. Oh boy, there was a tremendous amount of power being used, and a circuit breaker tripped. So what? Big deal.
