I'm honestly quite curious. It was very easy to tell Stiemsma was overmatched in the NBA. Just watching him play two or three games was all I needed. Even in preseason he was destroyed on the court. What "professional" is getting paid the big bucks to pick the steamer over Johnson? Was it Kahn or Adelman?

Boy did you ever pick the wrong game to enlighten us all with that little gem Heckles. I was at the game and Stiemsma played a pretty decent stretch of back up center. a couple blocks a steal, scored 8 points. Not sure what more you wanted from your back up center. But back on topic. Rubio is moving really well, I watched him non stop tonight and he was just a pest on defense. So many things he did tonight that are not in the box score. Great rotation on D and a complete PITA for the other team. you can really see the difference from just a couple of weeks ago. if we can just at least keep this group healthy and PLEASE add a real SG we could still make a run.

Haven't seen the most recent game yet, doesn't change the fact that he could almost single handedly blow a double digit lead every time he came in. The man fouled out in like 8 minutes of play a few games ago.

I prefer Johnson as the back up to Pek. He can provide instant offense off the bench against good teams along with a different style of play. Steimsma had a good game against a bad team. As of right now Adelman has a rotation and Johnson is not in it.I would also prefer Johnson playing more and Williams playing less.I had hopes for him but not anymore.

Pek is a forward and Johnson is a center at the defensive end of the court. Adelman's comment is scary. Johnson is clearly the best defensive center on the Wolves, something they have not had since Earvin Johnson played for the Wolves and they went to the championship. Look for the Wolves to trade Pek because they will not want to pay him $14 million per year with Taylor looking to sell interest in the team ownership and start Johnson and Love upfront next year. If the Wolves find they are out of the Playoffs and Adelman may not return they may trade Krilenko and Barrea for young players/draft picks to build a younger team around Love, Rubio, Shved, Williams, Buddinger and Johnson now that it appears the Wolves are more assured that Rubio is starting to recover from surgery.

Pek and Love will always be great offensive players and rebounders but will remain only average defenders because they are slow afoot and neither are good shot blockers.I know Love fans will hate me but I would prefer that Johnson play along side Pek because they could both help each other with their strengths and weaknesses.Having a leaper like Johnson would be great for Rubio and Shved.
