On the one hand, I can't really understand why you'd want to own a lion or a tiger that could eat you, your children, or anyone if they got out an were hungry. On the other hand there are a number of new breeds of house cat like bengals, savannahs, and chausies that involve breeding in smaller wild cats like asian leopard cats, servals and jungle cats, none of which are threats to humans in any way shape or form. Just like people like the idea of owning poodles, pit bulls, and boxers, cat owners are looking at different breeds of cat that are smarter, less allergenic, and have different temperaments.

A tiger is a machine perfectly designed to kill and devour roughly human-sized animals. It's about the size of a Volkswagen and much faster over short distances. Why you'd want one near you is beyond me.

Why is everything the size of a Volkswagen? Rocks, sinkholes, brother in laws and now tigers...

The Morrison County Sheriff was deeply disturbed by the attack on the boy. This contrasts with the Mower and Olmstead County Sheriffs who were disturbed that their ex-employee's exotic animal trafficking/ money laundering operation (Bear Cat Hollow) would get exposed when Como tried to kill Emily. Glad to see that at least some of the law enforcement officers have their priorities straight. Last year Mower County deputies shot a llama they thought was dangerous. However, when the lions, tigers and bears roamed free, they never shot them.
