There are plenty of parking lots in need of development. The churches are safe.

I don't understand, if the churches own their property, shouldn't they be safe from theft by the city or developers? Sounds like a civil rights issue to me. No one can take your property if you own it and you don't want to turn it over to someone else. No one can, that is a civil right only negated by necessarry PUBLIC USE. Private development does not meet that test. If the city wanted to take it for a public parking lot, they'd need to show there weren't options, exxisting parking at any level. There is. Taking unjustified. This would be dangerous in normal circumstances, but probably churches are easy victims to development interests since they won't/can't defend themselves.

Shouldn't this have been addressed earlier when looking at the site? No church should be negatively impacted by stadium.

Just more good news about the Vikings Stadium. Call your Senators and Representatives and have them stop this waste of taxpayer money. IT'S NOT TOO LATE.

Almost too hilarious. Talking about parking lots as they are actual development. Why do you think that no development has happened for 30 years in and around the Metrodome. Because NOBODY WANTS TO LIVE NEXT TO ONE OF THOSE MONSTROSITIES. They are development blockers. Call your reps, and kill this stupid plan.

Since these churches are also near the Metrodome, the site of the new Vikings stadium, haven't they been in danger of redevelopment since the early 1980s, when the Metrodome opened?

More anti stadium propaganda. Nobody is talking about tearing down historic churches.

Remember your science will not save you. Your machines will not save you. Your religion won't save you. Only Viking football will save you.

All of these churches have been "within field goal range" for the past 20+ years and no one has come in and torn them down against their will. So why would a replacement stadium be a threat?
