X's and 0's are important, wall play is important, but not as important as the mood, type of players and motivation of the team. Sports predictions and odds makers are assuming already if your a pro hockey player you know the right and wrong of playing the game by now, if your coach says this is how we play you know..... This is a team that is built with many veterans that are watching coaches put rookies into the game that are making several mistakes, this is not romper room

These are some things that we heard last year even when the team was healthy (which wasn't for long). Yes they had a great start but they were outshot and outchanced in many of those wins, while Backstrom and Harding stood on their heads, in that hot start. I know the media loves Coach Yeo, he says the right things, he's got a successful system that he wants to implement, he's intense and detailed, but at the day it's not just about those things. At the end of the day it's about how well you get your players to play your system. That's the difference between excellent hockey minds and excellent head coaches imo. Hopefully he can prove to be the head coach we all want.
