This is not surprising. in state kids and their parents have seen that this program is no better off than it was under Brewster, and in fact is probably regressed. Did Brewster routinely pay off average teams not to play them? EVERY recruiter in the country is using that gaffe as a reason to avoid this program like the plague.

Face the facts fans, you cant find fault or question the logic of a kid from MN going to Notre Dame or Boston College over the U. It is a rational decision. Jerry Kill is a smart recruiter, and he sought players wherever they were which is how he can win over the long haul. Next year there should be a stronger field from Minnesota and Jerry will recruit more and have more gets.

Mn.kids would rather play in Iowa or Wisc. What should that tell you.

If I was a high school athlete being recruited for college programs, I would never look at the Nophers. All they do is lose in football and basketball. Why play for a program that will surely hurt your chances of making it to the next level. The Nophers are at least a level 2 program. The are a gimme win for most of the Big 10 schools.

Silly article, leave Kill alone. He knows how to win.

This program is joke, local kids now this and flee on a large scale. Even the kid who comitted yesterday for 2014 is still going to take his visits. How do you think that will work out?

Another long year for the Gophers as the new AD figures out they have the wrong guy attempting to compete at this level. Hopefully only one more year before Teague pulls the plug and gets an experienced, winning, division 1 coach in here. Kill's first class (mostly Brewster's men) were the best he's had. You can't win at this level without getting star recruits. So far Kill's 4-12 on the field with two consecutive 12-out-of-12 recruiting classes. Now you know why all the other conference coaches love Jerry Kill. And why he pays $800K to get out of playing any real non-conference foe. Hurry Norwood. The Bank is getting more and more empty.

EXACTLY > "On Saturday, Jones jumped right into the Gophers' laps. They'll spend the next 12 months hoping he stays committed." < Don't worry, he won't.......
