The (not mine) imperial president has shredded the constitution, picks and chooses what laws he follows, creates new law through EO's and snubs his nose at the SC, but this headline paints conservatives on some warpath. We are living within the rules and calling out the those who break them, but somehow are isolated as the dangerous ones. Tell me, just how more blatant does it have to get before the media actually questions Obama's intentions?

GOP=Guns Over People. Once again, the party that is on the wrong side of history. To oppose universal background checks shows how out of touch the party has become. I will side with law enforcement on this issue, not the gun exreemists!

pigsonawing: "Tell me, just how more blatant does it have to get before the media actually questions Obama's intentions?" Obama's blatant intentions are to try to keep children from being murdered in kindergarten, at the mall or at a movie theater. Why do you oppose that? Is your assault weapon THAT important to you that children must be sacrificed?

Again the GOP chooses a Tea Party divisive issue as its platform. Clearly the GOP will never learn that they can't win by advocating for a minority. The vast majority of people in this Country want reasonable gun control such as background checks. The GOP. Once again, shooting themselves in the foot.

"I don't have an automatic weapon. I don't want an automatic weapon. But the citizens need to have guns that are equal to the guns that the government has," said Roger Rist, a 69-year-old business owner from Meredith. --- Well the government has things like the AC130 gunship which carries two 20 mm M61 Vulcan cannons, among other guns. The M61s fire about 100 20mm rounds per second. Any war between American citizens and the American military would be a very one-sided affair.
