I feel they do, just like watching the trailer for a comedy spoils the best lines when watching the movie. I made an effort to NOT watch any of the Super Bowl commercial previews this year, so I can enjoy all the commercials. The advertisers are getting their commercial message out early and often, and why wouldn't they take the free advertising? Why not show previews of their commercial while they have a captive audience, rather than just after the Super Bowl. Again, it's not about us rating the best commercial; it's about advertisers getting their message out. Early and often works.
