How long until Obama sends someone out saying this is due to a movie... that no one saw.

Oh boy! More fodder for the rightwingers to claim a coverup conspiracy by the President! The rw will want to immediately know all the facts like fuse set the bomber off, what kind of bomb, why was he allowed beyond the primary embassy security, where were the marine guards, where did he get the explosives, who paid for the explosives, why did this turn out less destructive than Benghazi, why did the President/USA allow this to happen after Bengazi, is this a ploy by the White House to distract everyone from the "Bengazi coverup", etc, etc, etc!!! I'm glad no Americans were killed, but sadly for the rw that lack of deaths diminishes the rw attack value relative to the President!! The world is a dangerous and our embassies will continue to be targets for terrorists!!

If we're going to have embassies in countries with large populations of people that hate our country this is going to happen. Nothing Obama or anyone else can do about it short of closing those embassies. Maybe building a full scale military base around the embassy(which will never happen for many good reasons). It's a bad situation, but it's the world we live in. I'm far more concerned with stopping terrorists from hitting us at home. Amazing that any question about what happened on 9-11 was unAmerican to conservatives, but we'll need to have months of senate hearings about a bombing any rational person can easily explain. They hate us, we're in their country, so they attacked us. Not that hard.

There will be far more gun deaths in the US every day, so the loss of life in an embassy bombing, while tragic, must be put into perspective. The diplomatic service does have its risks but is still relatively safe. There is always a tension between openness and security in embassies because business must get done but staff and visitors must still be safe. It is not and will never be perfect.

Official white house response: "if the republicans would just, just, just, just, just, just" you get the picture...

"Oh boy! More fodder for the rightwingers to claim a coverup conspiracy by the President!" - Not really. I mean not unless he or his people do something to try to cover it up, you know, like last time.

Right wing "fodder?" Four Americans were killed in Benghazi because this administration did not listen to their repeated requests for additional security. Their cover-up was disgusting and nothing but lies, and now Carney is the first one to claim terrorism? Thing's sure do change when you don't have to concern yourself with an election. You may also want to check out Chu and his sudden resignation (even though the underhanded deals were known about well before the election) If you can't see through this administration and their constant lies and cover-ups, it's just sad.

I"ll wait for the Press briefing to tell us it was either Bush's fault, or a movie that caused this!!!

avejoecon and muggsho2 would have Hillary fly to Turkey and throw herself in front of the bomber. Cut the budget for protection of our embassies because we gotta give tax cuts to Willard and friends, even if our embassy people are at a greater risk of being killed. At least the billionaires will be happy so they can give more to our candidates. Joe and muggs can be proud of sacrificing Americans for their political agenda.
