I read the article twice, and came away with the thought that this part of the world has no clue, is intertwined between religion and nationalism, and basically, is a mess. I honestly believe that the worst thing the world did, was to stop the war between Iran and Iraq. It gave them something to do and other countries in this part of the world got to take sides. I just hope the USA stays as far away from all this and not one American kid dies in this part of the world.

PS.... It was some time back, when I heard a whole bunch of politicians guarantee that Assad was done and days away from failing as leader of his country. There is only one thing the USA should do in this part of the world. Advise all Americans to come home.
