Beware of politicians acting like they are doing something. They have done it a couple times before and they will do it again.

The liberal gun-grabbers are starting to run wild, and they need a wake-up call. Unless you want useless and ridiculous gun bans and magazine limits that could make law-abiding gun owners into felons, you need to IMMEDIATELY and regularly call your elected representatives. Politely, but firmly, tell them you will dedicate your time and money to vote them out of office if they vote for ANY such useless bans. It's been tried before and been a proven failure. All this proposed legislation is nothing more than a liberal gun-hater's wish list for destroying your 2nd Amendment rights. Call and write these people immediately, and send a clear message: A vote in favor means you'll vote AGAINST them.

And how have the 20,000 gun laws currently on the books prevented minors or mentally unstable people from acquiring firearms? Any success anyone would care to hang their hat on? Didn't think so.

They just don't get it. The criminals don't care about any laws past, present, or future. All they will do is make a felon out of current law abiding, hard working Americans. Believe me, the gun grabbing won't stop when they take away small caliber rifles with black paint. It will keep going until we are all defenseless dependent drones. The article about FBI stats showed only 3 killed by rifles in 2011 in MN. Why all this focus on the least utilized method of killing. 12 were killed by knife, where's the uproar about knifes? It just doesn't make any sense unless your a gun grabber. This is America, we don't let a few idiots ruin the freedom of the vast majority of us!!! We are not here to serve or fear the government, the government serves us and we fear God!!! We will not let the government limit or take away our rights to enjoy shooting sports or anything else on this short time we have on this earth.

For the gun nuts guns are a play toy and they don't want anybody messing with their toys no matter how many innocent citizens die from gunshot wounds.

I'm a gun owner that supports responsible/sensible gun laws. Does WELL REGULATED ring a bell? People obsessed with guns always leaves the first half out. I also don't live in fear all the time that someone is trying to get me or come and take my guns away... (paranoid behavior/mental illness)? We show everyday how irresponsible we are with guns. Let's try and show that we can be responsible as a nation with guns. We can do a lot better then we're doing now! I don't think we can get much worse then we've gotten. Just ask the surviving relatives.

There are no gun nuts in the debate. The people in the discussion are serious about protecting lives and liberty with proven tools. Guns are not toys, although a few high - profile Democrats have lately treated them as such in public stunts. As far as innocent citizens getting killed, in cases where it is kids in schools, they are dead because liberal policies made them targets by placing them in No Gun Zones.
