Bigger pocketbooks = bigger boats. Good start. You forgot, bigger waistlines, less experienced fisherman, can't waterski and athletically inept, and still trying to scratch an itch that can never be fully scratched. Sorry, after 41 years being on Gull Lake, I just calls em as I sees em.

I am 42 yrs old and I just bought my first boat ever last Sunday. It is a beat up 15' forester with a 50hp Evinrude. My wife thinks I am crazy of which she is somewhat correct. I have long dreamed of the day that I would have this opportunity. I must of spent 100's of hours online researching and looking for the right boat. It became exhausting. Half of the fun will be tearing the inside out, refitting boards, panels, rewiring, and getting it to my specs all while having my 9 year old along side to help and experience what being a boat owner can do and see once on the water. Nice article. You only encouraged an addict.
