I would say his administration bears a striking resemblance to that of George W Bush's. Bank bailouts, out of control spending, undeclared wars, artificially low interest rates, monetization of our public debt, drone assassinations and an extension of the patriot act. It's almost as if GW never left office.

From the article: "{Ike's credo"] true national security begins at home with a sound economy." Along with warning us about the military-industrial complex, then-President Eisenhower also recognized that spending on national security at the expense of the national economy doesn't strengthen national security, it weakens national security.

Liberal media. In NO Way is Obama anything like Ronald Reagan. Reagan, like the others did not hide who they were or what their motives were. I would say Obama is even worse than Nixon. Nixon got caught and was crucified by the media. Obama was caught and was glorified by the media and continues to be a God who can not be questioned.

From the article: "The right to a useful and remunerative job; the right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation; the right of every farmer to sell his products at a return that will give his family a decent living; the right of every businessman, large and small, to freedom from unfair competition; the right of every family to a decent home; the right to adequate medical care; the right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident and unemployment; the right to a good education." 1948's Declaration of Human Rights echoes FDR's Second Bill of Rights; Medicare and Medicaid implemented articles from FDR's aspirational document; President Obama has already signed into law an Act which makes the right of Americans to adequate medical care more than a promise. Before ACA, one out of three young adults had no health care insurance, and sickness was a real economic fear for many workers until they reached 65.

From the article: "Though far removed from Nixonian criminality, Obama seems the least inhibited violator of constitutional safeguards since then..." Really, Jay Ambrose? President Obama violates constitutional safeguards more than a President who routinely subverted the intent of Congress through signing statements? President Obama is a more uninhibited violator of constitutional safeguards than a divided and dysfunctional Congress which abrogates its authority to declare war, to levy taxes to pay for war, and to use its power of the purse to prosecute war and a Senate in which the minority subverts--by unprecedented numbers of holds on nominations and filibusters on legislation--the ability of the Executive Branch to move its legislative agenda and to govern the nation?

It's a cross between Jimmy Carter's administration and that of Richard Nixon. A toxic combination of incompetence and lawlessness.

Jimmy Carter without the military service record.

Jimmy Carter, with a couple thousand more soldiers killed in a desert--and to what purpose when OBL was found in Pakistan? I also doubt Carter would have been raking in the Fannie donations pre-collapse.

theman said: "Liberal media. In NO Way is Obama anything like Ronald Reagan."------ I think liberals and conservatives should be able to agree that Obama is in NO WAY like that mindless drone.

I'd say he's most like Woodrow Wilson, and that's not a good thing. Professorial, Progressive, and arrogant.
