What is his salary? What is Mastrioannni's salary? What is Parmalee's salary? How do these salaries compare to the Yankees or other teams three starting outfielders salaries? Please rewrite the article including this most important information to include a delineation of all teams. Thanks

Bring him up, give him a chance....this team will be another big experiment for 2013, so why not go for it????? Worst thing to happen is they have to send him back down......

"twins hope....." pretty much sums up the twins strategy.

Stanbob, you're right. "Hope" may win presidential elections, but it's not a strategy for building a competitive baseball team. It's a lot to put on a young player like Hicks, but unless they sign Michael Bourn the Twins really have no choice but to throw someone like him out there. After two mid-90s+ loss seasons, it's a great time to give a young player a shot. Expectations are very low & it'd be hard to argue that any team in the A.L. is worse than the Twins. Mauer, Morneau, Willingham and Perkins are the only proven players. After that it's "I hope" for any player on the roster.

Twins will probably not play him this year to save his service time

Not that there's any pressure on you Aaron, but we also want you to perform brain surgery.

First rule of leadership: HOPE ISN'T A METHOD. The Twins "leadership" is clearly proceeding without a plan.

What about last years big No.1 pick. Why do the Twins keep there high picks in the minors so long. By the time they get to the big leagues they may have lost there confidence. Or is it they may have to spend money. Years ago a good player was up by the time he was 20 or 21. Remember Al Kaline 19 years old.

Why is rushing Hicks any different than the rush-job of Dozier last year... Wishful thinking isn't a good method for running a baseball team... Gardy prolly just wants some fresh meat to throw under the bus following bad games.
