The Salvation Army is one of the greatest charity groups there is. I have and will continue to give whenever I see a Red Bucket.

Congrats to the Salvation Army!! What I do not understand is Centerpoint matching the donations of the first $30,000.00. Sure makes Centerpoint look like the hero's of the day but it's at our expense. Did we not just hear Centerpoint complain they need to raise rates because they are losing money? Don't get me wrong I applaude the process but how can a Company not making money be so willing to dole out money not in pocket? Oh wait it's our pockets. Yeah! to the customers of Centerpoint.

Considering I already pay to support programs like this by actually PAYING my monthly bill.....I will refrain from donating anything through this additional push for more money. It's time for people to start paying their own way.....there's a reason many Mexican families in my area lived 2-3 families to a house when they first moved here. It's called surviving and working your way through life....not sitting back waiting for another government hand out or charity support calling.
