I hope the NRA supports this guy. He was just exercising his 2nd amendment rights! No way should people like him be required to pass any sort of background checks.

@SpaceViking; your snarky remark is insensitive to the lives affected by this incident. Please show me where the NRA supports people using guns against children. Your remarks are cold.

The sooner this guy departs the better. No one, not the NRA, not those who are infuriated with "the government" not even those who dissapprove of Obama, could ever support this guys actions. No one. It's stupid to even suggest that anyone could.

By supporting his right to have the ability to perform his actions, one indirectly supports his actions. People are sick of those who believe people should have the ability to go on a gun rampage should they happen to "snap" someday. If you disagree, then let's just mandate that government provide each citizen with a free gun and free training on using it and legalize public carrying for all everywhere. At least that would give the rest of us a decent chance of surviving these idiots' rampages.

Actually, it appears the law was at work on this, since he was due in court. If the driver had been armed, he may not have been merely a target for this whack job that ALL gun rights supporters agree shouldn't have any kind of wepon. Gun control croud can only make up their interpretation of blaming the NRA however. BTW- Lead pipes don't kill dogs...

Insecure paranoid people with guns....Not a good mix! And the NRA does not support stronger background checks for everyone? REALLY! We should start a NUT WITH GUN list.

I see a much larger problem with society in that some people, who know who they are, are more than willing to twist a political agenda out of a tragedy that has nothing to do with improving the health, safety, and prosperity of americans, it only puts their little control fantasy agenda first. No wonder we can't get along.

"By supporting his right to have the ability to perform his actions, one indirectly supports his actions."........This has to be the dumbest comment I have ever read in here, and that's saying something. You're saying that allowing someone to own a gun is means you support them killing kids. Is that what you are saying? Ok so I guess giving someone the ability to dive means you support them when they get drunk and dive and kill a family of four. I mean you are in favor of cars right? It's not the OBJECT like the car or gun! It's the person!!! Argh!
