Maybe someone can explain to us how these types of things are not an over reaction to gun violence. Seriously, merely saying you are going to shoot someone with bubbles when you are 5 years old gets you suspended and I am not to be concerned with liberals wanting to ban guns?

"Zero Tolerance" policies have been around for a while now. The two above commenters are looking to politicize something that has been in place in many, many districts since the 90's. Do you own research, don't be lazy like the two commenters above. With that said, she should have never been suspended. Zero Tolerance policies are pure laziness, cowardly policies put in place by frightened administrators. One size does not fit all.

evlded - Follow your own advice and wake up. This over reaction is no different than the over reaction of the left on gun control. The zero tolerance laws have been around as long as the gun laws that don't work. If you don't think we need to fear liberal over reaction you are ignoring reality. As Rahm Emmanual said: "You never want to let a good crisis go to waste. It allow you to things you normally couldn't do otherwise". The previous posts were spot on.
