Almost 45% of babies born in the US are covered by Medicaid. Think about this- almost half of the women getting pregnant are on state/federal funded health insurance. Tell me how this is sustainable and how this is fair to taxpayers who pay for their own health insurance.

There is no reason to expand this state program so dramatically. Yeah, the feds are supposed to pay for it, but the federal government is already broke. There is no guarantee they will continue to pay for this, and when they cut back or stop, taxpayers will be left holding the bag. With the Obamacare boondoggle on the horizon, health care costs are already skyrocketing. Just more expanding of government by the liberals who don't care that we're already going broke.

With the Obamacare boondoggle on the horizon, health care costs are already skyrocketing.-- I am no fan of Obamacare, but healthcare costs have been skyrocketing long before it went into effect. No one addresses the cause. Why does my sons office vist cost $145 now but only $75 four years ago? Same clinic with actually less staff.

PS... Would I be interested in Medicaid? I might have to look into it. Everybody in this country is out for themselves in health care. Why shouldn't I just jump right in?

Why not? Don't cost nothin... at least not to those who don't pay any state or federal income taxes.

These 145,000 should be purchasing off Obamacare! They will get subsidies from that law to get coverage. The State taxpayers should not be liable for this expense when the individual in mandated to purchase coverage!
