1,000s of Mom and Pop durable medical companies and independent pharmacies will be out of business soon with these Medicare reimbursement cuts being made. Liberty Medical the nation's largest supplier of diabetes supplies was just dismantled. Medco Health bought Liberty for $1.5B in 2007 and Express Scripts sold it for pennies on the dollar. Welcome to Obamacare.

started way before Obama..lobbied for years..God help these poor patients..i have worked in this field all my life..soon to be umemployed, single parent, 59 years old with a child in college..and love that they are looking further into this..how much for a triple bypass...lowest bidder gets the job..God help us America..this is truly insane and will not, absolutely, will NOT work with the prices they approved..i understand lowering prices, why not have lowered the allowables by 20% and let everyone stay employed and patients get quality care..God help these patients in the next hurricane where they cannot drive to their Mom and Pop locations when their phones were not working and had no electricity to get portable tanks..the hospitals in New York were filled to capacity during Hurricane Sandy..if we were not able to provide portable tanks to these patients. (no reimbursement for all the tanks we had to supply, i may add.what would the hospital have done..as it was..many patients went to the hospitals and were turned away.not to mention the thousands of dollars of flooded equipment we had to replace with no reimbursement from Medicare for lost equipment..No other field in the world operates like this..supposed to announce the bid price in Fall 2012..did not until a few days ago..yet timelines not extended..i could write a book on what is wrong with healthcare but it basically comes down to one thing..absolutely NO common sense or care for our elderly and ill or an industry that is totally a service industry on call 24/7..toner should be put on a bid system..geriatric chairs that hospitals purchase..not oxygen and medical equipment for home care patients.. Shame on you! do you even know what you voted for..doubt it!
