Maybe he never heard of Jerry Rice.

Might not be the best, but no other receiver changed the game like Randy did. I wish he could've played for Frazier instead of Childress. Would've been a different outcome entirely.

If he would have worked half as hard as Jerry Rice, he could have been the greatest of all time. Now he is just a sometimes great player - when he wanted to be - that makes everyone think of what could have been...

Randy Moss is a petulant, selfish child. I would much rather see former Vikings Bryant McKinnie and Matt Birk win Super Bowl rings.

Randy Moss had the tools to be not only the best but to eclipse every other receiver who ever played. However his penchant for turning parkettes into hood ornaments and other like shennanigans unfortunately eclipsed even his great talent. When motivated, the guy was unstoppable. Great fun to watch--on and off the field.

You can call him an afterthought if it makes you feel better. He is actually the greatest and it's really not even close. Usually when a player is not quite as good as they used to be. You might call them a veteran rather than an afterthought. Pretty soon you can start calling him a hall of famer. Jerry Rice? Please. What do you think Jerry's numbers would look like if he played with the likes of Dante Culpepper and the slew of QB's Moss played with. I know we all want to tell ourselves we did the right thing by trading Moss. But we used the draft pick on Troy Williamson. Now there's an afterthought for you. I'm happy Moss will finally get a superbowl ring. He has earned it.

Some people are slow to realize that being a legend in your own mind doesn't win friends and influence people.

I'd take Randy Moss in his prime over Jerry Rice in his prime. No doubt..
