The sidewalks are very deceptive as the article says. Took one step and fell hard. Be careful, everyone! And put some grit on those sidewalks. Please think of pedestrians!

The freeway was only wet, but the drive into St. Paul from the south on I35E was horrid! Took me an hour to get to work. Motorists, get the lead out and move!!! There was no reason to be driving at 10 mph.

The speed tends to be determined by the prevailing conditions. Some people who claim to have a high IQ apparently feel they should be the final authority for what a safe speed is for everyone else. I hope that these people never have to suffer the loss of a loved one's life because of someone else's impatience and misjudgment.

After I slipped on the ice and fell hard last Thursday--even after being careful--now I know why people move from Minnesota to a warmer climate.

I LOVE my Stablicers. After I fell this morning I crawled back in and put them on.

Why are native Midwesterners such walnut brains? People who've migrated from other parts of the nation or globe seem to have better sense as to when to simply stay inside during bad weather!

It's not how fast you drive, it's whether or not you can make a quick stop. The faster you drive, the bigger the surprise when you touch the brake. I took the slippery side roads today only because I didn't want to deal with tailgaters and lane huggers on 394. Hopefully the ride home will be better.

For most people all it takes one little slip and then you know to be careful. Nature has a funny way of punishing those among us a little slower to catch on.....and don't thumbs down me, I'm just the messenger. Nothing I said was untrue.
