"New taxes would net $2.1 billion." Absolutely disgusting. Every dollar taken out of the private sector is one less dollar to stimulate economic activity. If you support this massive tax increase please tell us why the government needs more of your money at the expense of your family. The only reason to support this tax increase is you don't pay taxes or you think you won't pay more. For those that think they won't pay more why do you think your neighbor should pay and you shouldn't? Is that moral and just?

I would like to see a chart with the impact of each of the proposed tax changes. I appreciate that the adults that preceded my generation paid higher tax rates than I did so that I could have an affordable university education, have an interstate transportation system that made our entire country easily accessible to me and my family .I have been able to take pride in our countries efforts to conquer space and become the greatest nation in the world. All of these achievements were the result of progressive thinking by government and the taxes that came with these programs. They set their sights high and took most of America with them. Taxes were high and so was the standard of living for all most Americans .
