Hey, I am for all getting along and everything, but if they do not respect individuals, then no money for you.
Washington casts wary eye at Muslim Brotherhood - Too late, Mr President. This is your mess and I fear it's too late to fix it. At least I can say I didn't vote for this madness.
If the Egyptian people toss out a US-friendly government and replace it with a militantly anti-US, anti-Israel regime, why should they expect to continue to receive US money? And why should the US government be concerned about finding ways to continue to send them aid?
It is just kind of hard to bring those folks out of the 13th century in terms of their attitudes towards women let alone anyone who worships differently that they do.
islam is a political ideology wrapped up in the cloak of a religion. In it's first century of existence it spread from Persia across North Africa to the borders of Spain, mostly by the sword. In that time 3 of the 5 main centers of Christianity fell to islamic forces; Antioch, Jerusalem and Alexandria. 700 years later the fourth, Constantinople also finally fell to islamic military sieges. Rome is the fifth. Given it's long and violent history I would not expect any kind or real or lasting democracy to survive long in Egypt.

-- It's not 'aid', it's extortion. It's a jizya, a type of fee or tax levied upon or squeezed out of infidels. The US has been paying this extortion practically since our founding and before the Spainish, French, British, et al were, and are, forking of billions. The idea is that it's cheaper than war.

and Obama welcomed it with open arms and an open check book and credit card
