Group is set to present its plan one day before Obama.
So the comprehensive part of immigration reform is to make illegal immigration legal? You're going to graciously offer to enforce the borders if we just let all the people breaking the law currently to stay? And how do we determine who all these 11 million people are? I suppose they can vouch for one another. Good luck to all of us.
So if I got this right, nothing is going to happen until the border is secure and a bureaucracy is set up to make sure of enforcement and to track illegals etc??? And until that happens, nothing is going to be implemented? When this hits the press in Mexico, do you know how many illegals are going to be steaming over the border in the next year or two while we set up this bureaucracy? It's a joke.
Why not use the national guard troops here at home, to protect our southern border, instead of foreign countries around the world. How about we immediately pass a law first, to secure our southern border, with troops that have returned from Afghanistan and around the world, and then replace them by withdrawing all our troops from Afghanistan now. Isn't that what the national guard is supposed to do?
McCain said Sunday on ABC's "This Week With George Stephanopoulos." "We are losing dramatically the Hispanic vote, which we think should be ours." ... I actually giggled at that statement and if I was George, I would have simply asked, "Why?" McCain needs a reality check, and I suggest he asks Romney for his position on this, and maybe McCain wouldn't make such ridiculous statements. Jindal, was right.
I know politicians are so out of touch with reality. How our we suppose to pay for 11-12 million more folks on the government dole??? We are broke...
Amnesty III is nothing more than rewarding lawlessness and punishing lawful immigrants waiting outside this country. this proposal does nothing to end anchor babies. It's bad for our people, for lawful immigrants, and seems only to help the two political parties. One more straw on the camels back toward holding the political parties criminally accountable for their acts against the nation is how I see this attack on america and immigrants. NO AMNESTY.
"Senators offer Bipartisam deal on immigration reform" should be rewritten to say "Republicans are joining Democrats ideology of open boarders" Because there will be no money available according to democrats to do an increase in boarder security.
"...remember that in 1986, Ronald Reagan signed a sweeping immigration reform bill into law. It was sold as a crackdown: There would be tighter security at the Mexican border, and employers would face strict penalties for hiring undocumented workers.
The law granted amnesty to nearly 3 million illegal immigrants, yet was largely considered unsuccessful because the strict sanctions on employers were stripped out of the bill for passage."
"Welcome to America. Now that you've proven you don't care about our laws by coming here illegally, you are now able to become citizens. The Democratic party thanks you for your votes."
So one of the principles should be around "everyone pays". There should be a fee of at least $10,000 to pay back taxes and handling fees. The IRS doesn't give any of us legal folks a pass and illegals should pay some kind of fee for services.
