I say put MNPASS lanes everywhere. BUT.... charge the users enough to pay for construction of those lanes. We should not have to subsidize the wealthy for these lanes!! The MNPASS lanes may be the dumbest idea in the history of dumb ideas.

Why don't you do a storie on how people use the minn-pass lane with out paying jumping in and out of the lane at will.

If they would less time checking drivers license information and more time doing their job this would not be an issue RE: DNR

Can someone explain to me why I should have to pay AGAIN for a single lane that I already paid for with taxes?

Typical government -- they are not in the customer service business. They have no understanding that they have customers that have paid for their product and should be informed if it can't be made available.

Typical MNDot arrogance. They still haven't learned about customer service.

If MNDOT had a whole pile of transponders on the shelf then everybody would be complaining how MNDOT was wasting money storing extras. They can't win. Unfortunately, these aren't like a grocery store where they can just order extra product from a local warehouse.

g5thistime - I never knew that paying 25 cents to a dollar to get to work faster was considered rich. Perhaps we should make all "rich" people with 25 cents to their name "pay their fair share".

These lanes are typically only used during peak hours by MnPASS holders and carpoolers; they're used by everyone else the other times, with the exception of the 394 overpass bridge/lane.
