Paul Ryan is wrong which is why he wasn't elected with Romney.
When is this "it has to be all or nothing" attitude going to end?! I'm so tired of these people... Carter lowered the debt, Reagan raised it. Then Clinton lowered it, and Bush raised it. And now I'm supposed to believe Repub Ryan has the magic ticket to lowering the debt? and he wants to do it in 10 years no less AND all while keeping military spending the same as it is now! Only when these 2 groups going to stop thinking about the careers and actually work together then maybe we can get something done... but it won't happen with people like Ryan in there.
The President promised cuts and no impact on the middle class along with taxing the rich. Let's see him deliver.
"Democrats have opposed our efforts to replace those cuts with others." - As usual, democrats never found a dollar they couldnt waste by spending 12. Its time to take our lives and money back. Government is not here to take care of us. Take care of yourself.
The President promised cuts and no impact on the middle class along with taxing the rich. - Or the president could do the noble thing and cut spending instead of demonizing the producers. So much for uniting people. Obama has done nothing but polarize individuals against eachother. Nothing like hate and change.
serfdumb: Romney claimed 47% of the country were feckless takers who were unwilling to take responsibility for themselves. Ryan has introduced the Ayn Rand meme of "makers and takers" into common parlance. The GOP bench ran to Bachman pray the gay away, Gingrich mars colonies in my second term, Perry one, two, uh-many?, Paul the intrepid and Romney "I'm unemployed like you. And you have the gall to refer to Obama as divisive?
We all played a part in the debt. We all voted for the presidents and congress that racked this up...from Reagan to Bush to Obama (or worse you didnt vote at all). We all need to sacrifice to pay down the debt and all we need to be willing to endure cuts. The "no new taxes" pledge is not only limiting, it is suicidal for America, and I find it very unpatriotic.
"If the wealthiest among us would all pay a little more." Turns out they now are and that won't make even the tiniest dent in our fiscal problems. Now that they are in power they will try to go after everybody's money. Elections sure do have consequences.
He is right. We need cuts, to the entitlements of the rich, and corporate welfare programs.
All I hear from congress is how we need to make cuts. I think we need to start in congress, first salary then benefits till they have a rational solution.
