Despite lawmakers' reservations, 'no budget, no pay' idea on verge of becoming law

Most of d.c.s politicians don't need the money. They are so far insulated from real world economics that in addition to no pay there should be a 10 k/day fine assessed. A balanced budget amendment should be passed tomorrow. It should limit any increase in taxes to COLA. STOP SPENDING!

Another measure biased toward people with money. This would only actually affect people who might actually need the money. The consequence of not doing what people consider doing their job should simply be to not be re-elected. I would call this grandstanding.

Why not "tax" them based on their net worth for not producing a balanced budget! Better still if they don't produce a budget backed by at least 5% of the minority party, 50% or more get kicked out!
