At least 5 more murders in Chicago reported on Saturday, and one of them unbelievably being the 4th child murdered of the mother mentioned in the article. As of Saturday, that is at least 36 murders (30 of them by gunshot, 6 by other means) in Chicago since January 1st. A website in Chicago is keeping track. The total on the website (as of right now) is 30 murders by gunshot and the total number of shootings is 133, so 103 people have thus far survived being shot....all since January 1st. And this doesn't count shootings/murders in Detroit, Flint, St. Louis, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Washington DC, etc., etc., etc.
I just looked at that Chicago website. They added one more. A 38 year old man fatally shot. That makes at least 6 people shot dead in Chicago on Saturday January 26th.
It's sad to see such violence in dangerous cities like Chicago. We really need to do something about the problem of males being raised without their fathers.
No mention of a father or fathers to her children. We all know that after conception the fathers job is done.
Welcome to "A woman needs a man, like a fish needs a bicycle" a feminist saying. Dads do matter. Ask 3/4 of those in prison.
And how many of these unfortunate and needless deaths were by the bullet of an "assault rifle"? ZERO. Guns aren't the problem, they're the scapegoat-people are the problem. It's the people that need the focus and attention or the problem will exist for eternity.
Good grief, why didn't she just move? Maybe some of her sons would still be living.
Two issues in Chicago.. no fathers that care and no jobs, (or jobs that pay a living wage)... Too many young man father children and dont help their kids just like their fathers did to them... Proverty breeds violence... no jobs no money extra time on their hands lead to violence...
And how are their gun laws? This shows that if someone wants to shoot someone they will do it legal or not....if somoene wants to shop lift and theres one store with cameras and one store without, they are going to pick the easy target without cameras, same goes for all other crimes whether it be gun violence or not.
All of those guns were purchased legally at some point . The sheer number of guns guarantees a few will end up in the wrong hands Owners of hand guns should be required to store them in a safe so the neighbor boy can't steal it and sell it to gangsters
