Welcome to loserville U of MN. Highly ranked hockey loses to MN State. Higher ranked B Ball loses to unranked Sconi. Higher ranked Rasslers lose to lower ranked Iowegian land. Yup, just gotta be proud of the U.

Very depressing weekend for everyone. Maybe its the cold weather.

This seems like this has become a yearly event. We can't beat Iowa in a dual meet. Even at home in front of a big crowd.

Individual sports never take on the meaning as team sports. But if you go to a wrestling match you could get hooked. I was a basketball player and many of my friends were wrestlers and I thoroughly enjoy watching them and never missed a match.

I love this wrestling program and Coach J. There is one curious element that I don't understand. Gopher wrestlers have great technical skills and are obviously well coached. They all seem to have similar styles, and none are overpoweringlly strong or aggressive. As a group they didn't do well once they had the opponent down. One pin would have made the Gophs a winner. I'll keep the faith, J knows what he's doing.

Losing on tie breaker to Iowa isn't a sin. The lower weights need to pick it up a bit, though. It was an exciting match to watch on tv. Keep reporting on the U grapplers, Pat.

No matter... this was the battle for SECOND best team in the conference anyway. These teams have nothing for the Penn State bunch.
