IMO - it falls on Rodney. If he were as good as the press makes him out to be - this team would have not lost 3 in a row.

What has the 1-3-1 got Northwestern? Exactly 0 NCAA appearances. It can't be that hard to beat!

If Mwbakwe wasnt on this team, they would be the same team as last year.... not very good.

The problem is NOT the players, it's the head coach. Tubby needs to look in the mirror instead of blaming them. Who recruited these guys? Tubby. Who's responsible for coaching them? Tubby. The half-court offense is virtually UNWATCHABLE most of the time. No more excuses, Tubby! Maybe Norwood Teague will get a clue and fire The Tubster. Can you say "Shaka Smart"?

There's a lot of really, really good coaches out there that would love to coach the Gophers and we're paying this guy $2.5 million. The offense he had his team in to attack the 1-3-1 played right into the strength of that defense. And how about the inbounds plays coming out of timeouts. Uffda.

Teams tend to take on the personality of their coach. This team is no different. We look like we are coasting into retirement. It's time for Tubby to move on as this team coasts to another second tier finish in the Big Ten.

Given the history of Tubby's teams, there is absolutely no reason to believe that the current edition will not lose most of the rest of its conference games including today in Madison where they will get blown out. They simply are not a very good team playing in a very good conference in spite of their good non-conference record against some fairly good teams. Their high ranking based upon their non-conference success was undeserved given their many, many turnovers, tendency to miss point blank shots, and horrible free throw shooting when comebacks/games are on the line. That is what and who they are and nothing will change that. What you see is what you get and nothing more than that. Whether it is the coach or the talent or both or whatever, this team is going only down just as several other Tubby's teams have done once conference play began. There may well be a reason why the current players weren't heavily recruited by successful big time programs, including several in the Big Ten. Once again, we are looking at a 6-12 or 7-11 finish in conference play and probably a low seed in the NCAA and another one game and out. Lots of early season "promise" that could not be realized due to poor coaching and/or lack of talented players that can consistently play well against good teams or both. Just another season ending fade. It is what it is and will not get any better this season or in the future.

I won't watch today's game. I'll read about it later, it's less frustrating that way. They'll have to turn things around before I start tuning in.

Did anyone hear, or read what Tubby thinks the answer is? He thinks he should play his all-american bench more. This shows just how incompetent of a coach he is. Why did he have to come here? And more important why doesn't anyone have the balls to get rid of him.
