Fire guts Beek's Pizza home, history

Firefighters braved icy conditions to quell the blaze at the '50s-era eatery. A second business was also destroyed, with no clues as to how the fire erupted.

I ate often at the Beek's that used to be in Crystal during the 70's; wonderful pizza.

I'm glad no one was seriously hurt. Thanks to the firefighters for what you do every day. I hope they rebuild in the same location. This is my (and a lot of other's) favorite place to get pizza.

Grew up in SLP, and Beeks was there. Live in S. Mpls and Beeks was there. Very thin crust with a sharp stank of cheese. If you know Beeks, you know what I mean. Awesome.

Beeks second location was on 40th st. and Bloomington Ave. They sponsered our hockey team in the mid 60's. Park board team out of Longfellow Park.
