Before it is over for the President. Republicans are going to whine about the trivial and Obama is going to go down as the most efficient President in modern history. He is raking points on all fronts and his legacy will be incredible.

I feel bummed for my friend from Manilla who did everything legally, jumped through all the hoops, did all the work... only to find out he could have just been illegal and had a path to do the same thing he did with integrity. Why do we have laws? Let's make a path for everyone who breaks laws to be able to keep what they steal.

30 MILLION illegals i the country. Illegals cost us 300 BILLION dollars a year. Unemployment for our citizens is at 8%. Gee, lets encourage MORE people to come here illegally, just so we can get a few more votes! Anyone hear illegally has broken the law and should be deported. Starting in 2014, anyone deported because of illegal entry should NEVER be granted citizenship. This pandering for votes has got to stop!

Great project, legalize illegal activity to attract more illegal votes. What a country!

Will the feds perform multiple background checks for fraudulently documented immigrants? And if so which aliases will they perform background cehcks on? And if a persone fails their background check will they be immediately deported or be allowed to tie up the court systems for another 20-years like Obama's aunt and uncle?

It is already against the law for employers to knowingly hire illegal immigrants today. So mandate E-verify (or some other similar system if you don't like E-Verify) and we can be back to full employment within three months!

One part of immigration reform that must be adopted is to change the current mix of immigrant entry priority from mostly family reunion to the opposite: individuals with skills that the U.S. actually needs must be the priority. Apparently most of Europe and Canada do this to get needed skilled workers.

It didn't take very long for the STRIB to bury this story deep on thier web site.

stared----Great Idea, but unfotunately, this type of common sense thinking will never pass because it won't buy enough votes. Neither party is interested in the welfare of the country. They BOTH want what will buy them the most votes!!

To help employers detect fraudulenty documented immigrants the Federal Government used to used the IRS system and send "no match" letters to employers but now have quit this practice because the open borders lobbyists got to the US Congress to shut this practice down. We need to implement IRS "No Match" letters to employers and mandate a retroactive check using E-Verify.
