People are sick and dying and the "governor's" focus is on increasing spending that will go to public and private employee and teacher unions and raising taxes on ALL Minnesotans and even more on the 45 of us who pay income taxes . ood job, Markie.

And of course no reporting on why those people died from the flu. I'm betting most if not all were people with compromised immune systems or people older then 65.

Seeing that already 2 healthy teens died, bosshog, and that was about month ago or longer, I think you're wrong on the "if not all" part.

Mellers--The teens may have had compromised systems. Unless you are perfectly healthy, someone probably has a compromised medical issue. A lot of people smoke, compromised! A lot of people are diabetics, compromised! The list goes on. I know a lot of people who have not got the flu shot. I am not sure what they are waiting for--it isn't because of an egg allergy.

The Strib reported both teens were healthy, which I assume means they didn't have anything to compromise their health. I'm just going by what I read in the Strib.

For those who are certain that the deceased were in some way compromised...You couldn't be more wrong. i know for a fact that several were very healthy normal individuals without previous health issues. DON"T TRY TO PLAY IT DOWN!!! This is very serious.

The 17 year old that died earlier this month "from the flu" actually contracted a staph infection after going to the hospital because of the flu.
