Yep, include legal services, and there is a good chance that any out of state company using a Minnesota law firm for some of their legal services will take their business to a firm in another state...could potentially cost people their jobs.

If Mark reads this as closely as the Vikings Stadium contract it will be a total mess. Why don't just put e pull tab machines everywhere and leave the tax structure as is?

As a democrat I have not been impressed at all by this proposal. Increasing Sin tax on cigarettes so the tax outweighs the original cost of the item is absurd. Taxing clothes purchases of $100.00 or more when we get billions into the MN economy from the MOA is absurd. Taxing a legal service is equally absurd and equates a misery tax. Here are two better ideas. 1. Toll roads into and out of Minneapolis and St. Paul. 2. Legalize and tax marijuana for recreational use. Both of these things will happen in the next 20 years, why not do it today?

"There's no free lunch here," Dayton told the Minnesota Newspaper Association assembly. Says the Democrat who has never had to worry about money and never worked a real job in his entire life. Funny thing is, the same people who wouldn't vote for Romney because being a rich guy he supposedly has no idea what people really need or want and yet voted for Dayton. Hypocrites.

if they include appraisal services my dad will charge you 527.50 for his fee. for a standard residential appraisal. So Bremer or US Bank or TCF will just be passing that on to you.

Independent inventors who don't have a lot of money to begin with will be asked to pay hundreds in taxes to apply for a patent and prosecute a patent application. This will definitely have a negative impact on new ideas. Since Dayton has never invented anything, he won't understand the significance. New ideas create new products and new jobs.

Wrong, Agony. If you're a wealthy person who uses your wealth and power to make yourself and your wealthy friends richer by tilting the rules in your favor - you'll be mocked like Mitt Romney or Montgomery Burns.

If you're a wealthy person who uses their wealth and power to even the playing field so anybody that works hard can be successful - then you just might be admired by us poors.

The citizens of Minnesota have spoken, a liberal Dem. governor and both houses controlled by the democrats. What did you expect, stop whining. Business's and folks will move as they are in similar tax and spend states.
