Sid, What do you think of Tubby's gophers now? Horrible shooting and to lose to Northwestern? They're not for real....no they won't win the Big Ten....already three losses

I for one am happy for Matt Birk to play in a Super Bowl. He was hosed by the Vikes, made to be a scapegoat for a couple bad snaps at crucial times. The team dumped him for no good reason. The guy was an All Pro center and would have helped the run game the past few yrs. Go Ravens!

I'm happy for Birk, a rare combination of lunch pail work ethic and Ivy League pedigree. He's obviously at the end of the road, and I'll be pulling for him to go out in style on Super Bowl Sunday.

lindy_frank123: Apparently Sid didn't want to talk about the gophers... so he should have written about the timberwolves.... no... wait.. maybe he did make the right choice talking about Birk after all.

Any Viking that wants to win a Super Bowl during his career should strongly consider leaving Mn.

Birk hated playing for Wilf so much that he took the contract Zygi offered him and went to Baltimore and said "If you can match it, I'll play for you". They did. Congratulations to Matt Birk and the Ravens!!

I'm surprised at the supportive comments toward Matt Birk, so soon after he went public with his anti-marriage amendment position.

Well, regardless of who wins on Feb. 3rd, a former Viking gets a long awaited ring. Whether Matt or Randy, doesn't matter to me but I've got so many 9er fans as friends and family I'm leaning that way. Not a big Flacco fan, or Big Mac for that matter.
