So funny. Legions of 'fans" here thought so much of Delmon, yet MLB people give him a contract like this? So after all these years, he's basically worth the major league minimum. Clearly there's something going on with this guy beyond numbers, because people just don't want him on their team.

I agree with Ballfour...something is not quite right, but signing basically for the minimum $$$ could be quite a deal for the Phillies..... Delmon is just an ordinary player, nothing special, basically reliable and can get a clutch hit here and there, but nothing spectacular....

It's all about whether Delmon comes in in good shape. He looked fat with the Tigers. If he really gets in good shape he can be as good as anybody.

"Clearly there's something going on with this guy beyond numbers"...Yeah, it's called DEFENSE...as in lack of...Can't play DH with rhe Phillies, so Ben Revere will run himself into heart failure chasing balls that Delmon misses.

Funny thing is -- the Phillies will be better defensively in the outfield this year than the Twins. LOL!

Like Delmon's defense is any worse than Willingham? It is equally entertaining watching Willingham try to field. Delmon could at least cover more ground. Willingham can't even attempt some of the plays that Delmon bungled.

Willingham is pretty bad out there too. I remember thinking , man that reminded me of Delmon on that play LOL

Once again, the Twins were correct to get rid of Young at any price. Those who thought Young would become a star after leaving the Twins can write their apologies now.

Willingham looks like a talent in LF compared to Young. In seven seasons,Del is -61 and -39 in Rtot and Rdrs, Willingham -11 and -16 in nine seasons. And Delmon is younger. Del's a liability in the field, in the clubhouse and on the streets.
