Gophers will lose twice this week, once at Evantston tonight and once in Madison this weekend, and then will be 3-4 struggling to finish 9-9 or even 8-10 in conference play. Come Sunday morning, depending how Tubby reacts to the two losses, the tweets from the players amy be coming hard and fast. Problem is that the team simply cannot play a full game against good conference teams. That is, they get behind with all kinds of turnovers and then their efforts to catch-up are thwarted by more turnovers, missed point blank shots and horrible free throw shooting when the comeback/game is on the line. That is what this team is for whatever reason be it coaching, lack of talent or whatever. That is who and what the Gophers are this season, nothing more and nothing less, and nothing is going to change that. Some of the frustration of the players as indicated by tweets and so on may well be do to them having taken their temprary high rankings too seriously and then realizing that they are not good enough to justify those continued rankings. The Gophers should be deep in if not out of the top-25 rankings after the Michigan State game in two weeks. Then, the finger pointing will begin ine earnest.
