Winter finches come for dinner

Crossbills, redpolls and grosbeaks, beautiful birds from the far North, are heading south to find enough food to eat.

To Val Cunningham, do you think it is possible that I saw 2 eastern bluebirds at my heated water dish this past week? I got a fairly good look at them but not great because I recently broke my binoculars. (drat) They had blue bird coloring but possibly (no binoculars) the face of a jay? I live in S. Minneapolis near Minnehaha Creek. Great article! Thanks.
