Who cares, Kelly Clarkson was much better anyway....she sang from the heart....not the tape.
If she did lip-sync, it was over her own voice. Bottom line: Beyoncé's voice reigned over us all.
Agree with strandra - it really doesn't matter - it was her voice, and it was great; also not a political issue. It was cold and she needed to hit the high notes, and she did - live or sync'd.
Non-issue. We have far more important concerns facing our nation. And by the way: according to CBS News, the Marine Corps. bands performance of the national anthem was taped. And again - that too is a non-issue.
Hey, it's Washington DC......lots of people there move their lips without saying much of anything.
Beyonce is great, but it does take away from the magic of the moment if it was pre-recorded. If that's true, the vocal track we heard was likely made up of several takes and polished in the editing room.
