"Republicans were already signaling their unhappiness with Obama's agenda." Imagine that. The same old GOP tune since November of 2008. It doesn't matter what Obama is for, they're against it. As Groucho Marx sang in "Horse Feathers," "I don't know what they have to say,
It makes no difference anyway,
Whatever it is, I'm against it." Amazing how the election losers have the gall to tell the winners to abandon their winning agenda. The Party of NO is alive, although not well according to the last election.
Obama has been the most divisive president in the last 140 years. Now he wants unity. Sorry not interested and neither should the GOP. Hope they stonewall him at every turn.
I wish he had some lofty ideas for improving the economy. Persistent 8% unemployment, anemic 1-2 % GDP growth, crushing $1.2 T deficits, and bankrupting $16.5 T debt are all far larger problems than the petty, partisan social issues he used as part of his never-ending campaign. President Obama needs to stop running for office and start governing; the country needs a leader, not a candidate.
"Obama has been the most divisive president in the last 140 years.".............Utter nonsense! Obama's faced the singularly most obstructive and irresponsible House in the history of this country. "Unifying" cannot transpire when an entire party agrees on Day One to defeat absolutely everything the new president attempts to do. No other leader in our history has endured such treatment. The GOP of the last four years have made it abundantly clear that it would rather tank the economy than work with the Dems. They've even rejected policies that they've long held dear if the president favored them. Time and time again, when he compromised or came closer to their demands, they backed off and moved the goal post. This party had no intention of negotiating in good faith. Their #1 goal was to defeat Obama - the country be damned. By now, everyone knows this, sees this, and is disgusted by it.
Obama has added six plus trillion dollars to our deficit, Utter nonsense!
The sky is blue? Utter nonsense.
People like you are clueless. Utter nonsense? Really?
